Chem Arrow Europe was approached by a global coffee machine manufacturer based in Romania, that produces over 3 million machines a year. The grinder mechanism is the only part manufactured on site and they were experiencing issues with poor tool life, residue build up and machine cleanliness with the current suppliers. The manufacturer was using two metalworking fluids along with various bactericide additives and antifoam products. In addition to these issues the customer was also struggling with ‘squealing noises’ from the machines during the machining process.
Chem Arrow Europe’s distributor listened to the customers’ requirements and worked with them to provide the right coolant to resolve these issues. By switching to ArrowCool ME-347-HM their corrosion issues have disappeared, the cleanliness of the machines improved and tool life has increased by 20%. In addition the machining noises have also stopped, improving working conditions for operators. Perhaps more importantly the process was simplified by using one product and having one supplier saving time and reducing costs.
